Appliance repair

This service will be available to you as long as the contents have been contracted.

  • White goodsSuch as washing machine, dishwasher, fridge/combi, freezer, domestic dryer, electric hob, ceramic hob, induction hob, extractor hood, wine cellars and oven that work by electricity.
  • If it cannot be repaired...Indemnity will be paid with the value of the new appliance up to the amount specified in the particular conditions.

How can I check the capital sums and covers of my insurance?

Whenever you need to, you can view the sums insured and the cover included in your policy in your BS Online private area. To do so, enter the private area and select the product you wish to view.

How can I cancel my insurance?

First of all, we’re sorry to know that you want to leave.

How can I cancel my policy?

We have several phone numbers or channels for different products. You can view all of them here.

How long do I have to cancel my insurance?

If it’s an annual renewable policy, remember that you can inform us that you want to cancel the policy up to 1 month prior to the renewal date.

 

What’s Building?

Building is the structure, i.e. all the structural elements and materials that are part of the home’s construction, from the pipes to the flooring. If you own your home, it’s the most important cover.

Can I insure my jewellery?

Yes. It’s an optional cover that you can add to your policy with a minimum sum insured of €2,000.

Can I make changes to my home insurance policy?

Of course. If you would like to add any covers or make any changes to a home insurance policy you have with us, you can always do so. Contact your personal advisor through your branch.

The Appliance Repair Service is offered by HOMESERVE ASISTENCIA SPAIN S.A.U. for BanSabadell Seguros Generales Home Protection customers.

The following white goods are covered, such as washing machine, dishwasher, fridge/combi, freezer, household dryer, electric hob, ceramic hob, induction hob, extractor hood, wine cellars and ovens that operate by electricity. Appliances other than these will not be covered.

Not covered:

· Repairs to covered appliances that are more than ten years old.

· Repairs to covered appliances that are still within the manufacturer's warranty period.

· Aesthetic damage, corrosion and/or oxidation, whether caused by normal use and/or wear and tear of the appliances or because they have been accelerated by unfavourable environmental circumstances.

· Conservation, maintenance, cleaning, unblocking, removal of foreign bodies, descaling and obstructions, adjustment or recalibration due to use.

· Repairs to household appliances by a specialised technical service outside the insured address.

· Defects recognised or accepted by the manufacturer and series faults and claims for loss of usefulness of the appliance due to the lack of spare parts from the manufacturer. Tasks to change elements that wear out or deteriorate due to normal use, such as lamps, capsules, reading or reproduction heads, gaskets, door or inlet or drain seals, vacuum cleaner hoses, outdoor tubes, etc.

· Any other household appliance of those indicated in this clause.
